This book is (naturally)written with US racing in mind. It is generally a very good read and is particularly interesting in the "Pace" chapter discussion. Unfortunately, the criteria for assessing "pace" involve interpretation of sectional times/ racing positions, information which is unavailable, (still!), to the UK punter. Nevertheless, I think that the "Pace" chapter is the jewel of this book and it is worth buying the book for that reason alone.
